The Non-financial Performance of Bank Branches in Ghana

The study assesses the non-financial performance of Bank branches in Ghana. The objectives of the study were to assess the nature of the banking services at the bank branches, the Non-financial performance of bank branches, and the factors within the bank branches influencing their Non-financial performance. To achieve the objective of the study, convenient sampling was used to select 150 respondents comprises of managing directors or Branch Managers, heads of Departments, Staff and customers of bank branches in the Accra Metropolis. The main data collection instrument used was the questionnaire. The data were analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (Version 26) software and presented using percentages, frequencies and tables. The findings of the study revealed the Non-financial performance of bank branches promotes value for money and ensures adequate knowledge about banking. The study recommends that the head offices of the bank branches should promote a full independent operational function of their various branches. This will promote the bank branches to increase their speed in dealing with issues that may influence their banking services at the branch level.
