Ghana’s economic development is the result of its natural resources. The extraction of natural resources for economic development has led to the economic effects of environmental degradation on society. Ghana has air, plastics, and water pollution, unmanaged solid waste, land degradation, and deforestation. This study investigated environmental degradation and the Ghanaian attitude towards environmental degradation. To achieve the objective of the study, purposive sampling which is a non-probability technique will be used to select from the sample size of (326) from the target population. The main data collection instrument used was the questionnaire. The data were analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (Version 26) software and presented using percentages, frequencies and tables. This study concluded that poor attitudes towards environmental degradation are because these people are economically motivated due to their level of poverty in the local areas. Their level of knowledge on environmental degradation influences their attitude. And, finally, the poor effort of the government in protect the environment in their local area influences the attitude towards environmental degradation
